Hobbies & Interests: Views and Opinions- Self Respect

Why do you think so many men and women are willing to belittle themselves for the sake of being noticed? Is it possible that there are that many people who have never learned of self respect?

I myself am impressed with people who are very realistic and down to earth. Fake people aren't worth anyone's time because it's nothing more than a waste of time. People who feel good about themselves do not hurt others but people who are weak minded and feel horrible about themselves are incapable of seeing anything good surrounding them. They want revenge, cheat, become abusive, become controlling, pick on people to create distraction, premeditate fights in their head because they suspect something has gone wrong, so they want to be prepared and or they show no trust. All of these are signs of a weak minded person and therefore, I feel should not be worth wasting your time on. I have watched people get involved with others like this and by the time they were done with them, they were wondering what they themselves had done. Not for one second thinking, gee this person is a head case and instead took them seriously as if their opinion mattered more than their own. It's so much easier to see manipulation from the outside looking in. If you're not good at detecting it from the inside, I think it's important to watch for signs and listen to love ones when they bring it to your attention. I think anyone who is willing to belittle themselves for the sake of attention should be ignored until they really do something impressive or kind. If society keeps responding to bad behavior, then we are only asking for more.
