Ok- new at this, a really good friend of mine- told me about this website! She is no longer here in this state she and her family moved and I really have no one to vent too or cry with or anything. My husband and I just put our house on the market to sell, we have found what we hope is our dream home! 3 bedroom- 1 bath- livingroom, diningroom huge yard 3 car garage! Great huh? Well(heres the twist) today my mother inlaw- the best person I know(nope no joke) called and informed us the seller dropped the price to a lesser amount(something that is in our price range)! Yea- but heres the twist WE HAVE ALREADY PUT OUR PURCHASE OFFER IN ON THE HOUSE AT THE PRICE IT WAS WHEN WE WENT AND LOOKED AT IT- 3 weeks ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Crazy huh? Can she do that? Well I hope someone out there might know cuz heres the even bigger kick in the pants- Her Attorney (supposedly) spoke with our Realtor- and our realtor told the attorney that OUR HOUSE WOULD NOT SELL FAST!!!! I spoke with our realtor today- and guess what- the sellers attorney never spoke with our realtor!! Great huh. I work with the seller- and I have not heard anything from her about dropping the price finding another buyer or anything- I went today and put our $500.00 dollar deposit (the good faith deposit) down at our Attorneys this morning! So now my husband and I are in stress mode and like I said I work with the seller and she has not contacted me about any of this - so tomorrow I am going to go in and act as if I no nothing! I have no idea what is going on- we put so much into the house we are in and if we dont sell- its going to be a very tight rest of the year!! Does anyone know what steps we can take to get this house back? Or anything? i guess its a complicated situation from the outside but i hope you get the jist of it!
Am I reading this wrong, or is this so called co-worker of yours screwing you over? If this is the case..you need to get another realtor ASAP and hope for the best. If it's meant to be, it will be. Good luck and please keep me posted. I am curious to see how this turns out.
I don't know what tell you, it's a twisted and complicated situation but here's what I'm thinking... I agree with lava, you should work with another realtor and put in a lower offer than your previous one. Also I think there is much more to the negotiation than price like negotiating the repairs if any, etc.
