I think it really sucks that she got out of jail because she is who she is. She is no better then any of us. If it was any regular person we will be still sitting in jail. I think that is all wrong. If she has a medical problem, there are people there at jail that can take care of her. I am sorry her tanning bed, swimming pool ,bath tub,ect.... are not there for her she should have thought about that before she violated parol....

I agree with you, Green. I hate that girl. She is definitely treated a lot better than the rest of us. It's just sick.

Look at OJ Simpson and what he got away with. Paris Hilton's situation only reminds me of how unfair this country can be and has been all along. And they're saying that she is being made an example for what she has done? Give me a break. Is there anything that a famous person can't do? Who wants to tape me while I come up with my own Jackass show? If you can't beat them, join them!

I'm not a huge Paris fan but I have to say I do feel a little bad for her. So she shouldn't have gotten out of jail, and she does deserve to be punished for breaking the law BUT on the other hand she is Paris Hilton. By that I mean she has no privacy because everyone wants a piece of Paris. She has photogs and papparazzi following her every second of everyday. She messes up, LIKE WE ALL DO, and it's negatively splashed all over every magazine, every tv channel, radio channel...blah blah blah. We don't have the option of liking Paris because the media makes sure to portray her negatively every chance they get being certain to bias our opinion of her. You don't know her, you don't know if she's a great friend, a person you'd love to be on your side if you needed a friend, you don't know her so how can you judge her? You know what "they" want you to know. So any normal person that has violated their parole like Paris has would serve their term in jail, and maybe not because jails are overcrowded and any normal person might just get off on house arrest but because she's Paris Hilton they're going to nail her to the wall. They're going to splash pictures and videos of her crying and emotionally upset all over the world to ridicule and humilate her while she does serve her time. Any normal person wouldn't be humiliated like that. I agree that her money may give her some special privileges that any normal person wouldn't get but she's just a number compared to all the people in the world that get special treatment because they have money. I think too many people are too eager to join the "hate Paris" bandwagon and for what reason?? She has money? She's goofy and does stupid things? Who doesn't? She drives under the influence? None of you ever have? I'm not proud of it and certainly don't condone it but I've driven under the influence in the past, the only difference between me & Paris is I didn't get caught and well... the obvious she's rich, tall, sexy, rich, blond, rich...but I don't hate her for it! I kind of feel bad for her!

I don't hate Paris. I don't think it was right for her to get off so easy, But look now the situation she is in. This is a life lesson to her, MONEY does not buy eveything. I hope and prey that this only makes her a stronger and better person. She is not the only one to who has ever been in this situation.
As it is true, our faces probably wouldn't be plastered all over the web and papers. We all have to remember this is all her doing and choices that have her where she is now.
And one more thing to all of us who try and judge Paris,
remember our day of judgement will come one day.

    Ifthetiarafits,
I don't feel bad for Paris. She is not any better than you or me. How do you feel she should be punished for breaking the law? Yes, she is Paris Hilton and people look up to her, but that makes it worse because she is setting a bad example. She knew that the media would be watching her every move before she even thought about becoming a celebrity.. I would of hoped she had thought twice before doing something like this. Especially knowing that the news media would be all over it. She may be a good person but I still believe she should not have been released from jail. She already has a cushioned sentence with only having to serve 23 days. I know of people that have done less then she has and have gotten more time then that. I don't agree with them plastering her pictures all over the place with her crying and all ,but that is part of her being a celebrity. But this is what she has chosen to do, knowing that her business would be smeared all over the place. I am not in the "Hate Paris Hilton "fan club but I still don't think it is right. Just because she is who she is should not mean she should be treated any differently than you or anybody for that matter.

And just for the record I do not drink and drive. I always make sure I have a driver if I am going to drink because my Mother was killed by a drunk driver 18 years ago. If you do something wrong, there are consequences to our actions. There is no money, fame, being nice or anything that is going to bring my Mother back. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about my Mother and what happened to her. It's easy to think that no harm is done and it's possible that this time none was. If it continues with only a slap on the wrist, they are only allowing her to potentially kill someone. I hope you are never faced with putting someone through the same loss I suffered when drinking and driving.

greenflagcollect- I am very sorry for your loss. I truly am.

I sense anger/stress in your response to my post and I am literally sick that my response affected you personally. I am so sorry. I never intended it to affect anyone personally. I only meant to vent about Paris.

I do not condone drinking and driving and I agree everyone who does it should be punished to the full extent as should Paris. When I said I have driven under the influence in the past, I really meant in the past when I was younger. I don't drink and drive now. I was young and stupid. I'm so very lucky that what you said: "I hope you are never faced with putting someone through the same loss I suffered when drinking and driving" has never happened to me. I am grateful I never hurt anyone with my stupidity. I wouldn't have been able to live with myself. I do think everyone who breaks the law should be punished regardless of who they are.

Well one thing I think everyone is forgetting is that with Paris Hilton comes alot of publicity. Imagine the Jail, because this is jail not prison, that is being bombarded with phone calls from Fans, Paparatzi (sp), news crews, etc. It would be much better for the normalcy of the jail to release Paris with an ankle bracelet to monitor her moves. The Jail has to be in turmoil at this time, just look at the news. After watching the news I see that due to overcrowding in California jails, not prison, many people in Paris's circumstance are only serving a few days of their original charge. Just a little food for thought, it is easy for us to want her to pay for her crime, however she should be treated the same and fairly. We all love to hate the priviliged, unfortunate but true its human nature.

Before someone jumps on me,, I am not defending Paris's Behavior, I find drinking and driving appalling. It only ends in hurt, frustration and victims.

I lost 2 friends in highschool due to drunk drivers and my husband drives tow truck, do you have any clue how many cars we pick up especially on the weekends because somone was drinking and driving. really it's rediculous. I think it's crap I mean really is it so hard to find a driver to stay sober if your gonna drink. for your safety and others I think she should be sitting in jail just the same as any of us would have.
