If someone that you love very much had to go away for awhile, and that person was coming home, what do you do? How do I handle it? All I want to do is cry. I am so worried that things will not be the same. Can someone please help me?

Who went away?? Was it a husband or family member or just a friend. Are they in the service?? or Jail?? If its the service I hear soldiers coming home are having emotional issues after being subjected to the injustices in Iraq. Thats a tough one Napagirl..

Napa - I know exactly how you feel! My husband is in Iraq, and I am raising our 11 month old by myself. I love my husband so much and support everything he does. He just came home a week ago for his 2 week leave. I was so anxious and excited to see him that I literally made myself so sick. I really don't know any advice to give you on how to handle a homecoming. What I can tell you, is that if this person has been gone for a long time, people change. My husband has been gone for 6 months (and has 4 more months to go). I don't look at it that I have 4 lonely months left, I think of it that he'll be home for our son's second Thanksgiving and Christmas (since he wasn't here for it last year). I know it will be hard when he gets back, because I can see even now, that he's changed so much. But, like the last time he was away, we got back into the swing of things in no time. I truly think it takes practice. It was harder for me the last time when he was gone. But, it is a little bit easier this time. Just know, that you're not alone!
